Chanderi Saree in Bagru Blockprinted. A gossamer light saree, that is so light and comfortable. Bagru block printing done by the chippas (block printers) in the Bagru region of Rajasthan is a traditional technique of printing with natural colour mostly on light coloured backgrounds with wooden blocks, following a direct-to-surface as well as a resist printing methodology.
Initial washes may result in color bleeding; slight irregularities are inherent in handcrafted products. Avoid pairing darker colors with lighter ones to prevent color transfer. Dry clean or hand wash with mild liquid soap to maintain the fabric’s quality. Color may rub off when dry; do not machine wash or tumble dry. Do not soak, wash separately, and gently dry inside out in the shade. Store your saree in a cotton cloth bag and change folds regularly to maintain its condition.
